News Margin explains the stories behind the headlines in world news, the economy, markets, technology, business, policy and crypto. Each piece answers a plain question first, shows the numbers that matter and links to the documents they come from, so you can check them yourself.
Who is behind it?
News Margin is an independent publication run by a small editorial team. We are not owned by, paid by or affiliated with any exchange, bank, government or political group.
How do we work?
- Primary sources first: official statistics, court and regulatory documents, company filings, exchange documentation, and reporting from established outlets, always named and linked.
- Every figure is checked against its source before publication; a page without at least two primary sources is not published.
- AI tools help with research and drafting. Code rejects any sentence whose number is not in the source material, and every page passes an automated review and an editor check for accuracy, wording and policy. Details: editorial policy.
- Explainers are updated when the facts change, and the date at the top shows the last real update.
How is it funded?
By display advertising, clearly separated from articles. Advertisers have no say over what we cover. See disclosures.
