What we publish
Explainers and analysis of news that already happened, plus reference guides and calculators. We do not publish rumours, press releases as news, sponsored articles or price predictions.
Sourcing
- We name and link every source. Official documents and data come before commentary.
- A claim from social media is used only with a link to the original post, and market-wide claims need at least two independent accounts.
- We do not copy other outlets’ articles. When we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link to it.
Use of AI
We use AI models to gather material, draft text and check style. They never decide what is true: figures must match the linked sources, an automated reviewer blocks unsupported numbers, hype, missing sources and policy problems, and an editor check scores accuracy, usefulness, clarity, search intent and policy before a page goes live. Images are designed graphics, not photographs of real events.
Accuracy and updates
If we get something wrong we fix it and say what changed at the end of the article. See corrections.
Independence
No one pays for coverage. We do not trade on information before we publish it. Pages about financial products describe how they work and their risks; they are not advice.
